  • Define Greek and Latin roots (tele, phon, photo, graph)

  • Weekly reading check-in (submit reading progress spreadsheet via Google Classroom)

  • Weekly writing (story) due Thurs.
  • Keep reading--next weekly goal due Tues.
  • Handout: word roots foldable for notebook
Summary of Class:
  • Read for ten minutes, then check in to your reading progress spreadsheet
  • Reading progress spreadsheet:
    • Complete the orange box (weekly reflection)
    • Submit via Google Classroom (open "Weekly Reading 9/8 and click to add/attach your reading progress spreadsheet, then click to turn in the assignment)
  • Word roots
    • Group task: sort the given words by root, then look for patterns and guess root meanings
    • Notebook: glue the foldable onto p. 2 and write down each root (tele, phon, photo, and graph)
    • Video: watch/listen for root meanings and record these on the back of the flaps in your notebook
  • Weekly writing
    • Due Thursday
    • You choose the topic and the length
    • Open "Weekly Writing: Story 9/10") in Google Classroom--open assigned Google Doc, then copy and paste your story here or begin typing
